Follow-up is a process which is designated to verifying the conditions of accreditation and confirming the degree of fulfilment of recommendations by the KAA and commitments by the HEI.

On an institutional level, the follow-up division oversees the operation of the higher education institution. The higher education institution is required to adopt an action plan for the purpose of implementation of the expert panel’s recommendations within two months from the issuance of a decision and submit a report on the implementation of activities included in the action plan within the first year of accreditation.

On programme level, the follow-up division ensures the delivery of the study programme by implementing the recommendations given during the accreditation process. The higher education institution is required to adopt an action plan for the purpose of implementation of the expert panel’s recommendations within two months from the issuing of a decision and submits a report on the implementation of activities included in the action plan within the first year of accreditation.

Monitoring is a formal process carried out by the KAA through which it is assessed that an institution of higher education maintains and continues to meet the recommendations of external evaluators and the conditions of accreditation as well as implements the standards of the Accreditation Manual.
