Budget and Finance Division

1. The Budget and Finance Division is an organizational unit responsible for planning, managing, and spending the budget allocated to the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, in accordance with applicable legislation.

2. The Budget and Finance Division has the following duties and responsibilities:

• Manages the Agency’s budget in accordance with the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, the Law on Public Financial Management and Accountability, the annual Budget Law approved by the Assembly of Kosovo, and other procedures and rules applied in Kosovo for budget administration;
• Prepares the Agency’s annual budget and requests for budget allocations;
• Complies with budget circulars and administrative instructions of the Ministry of Finance for drafting, reviewing, and executing the Agency’s budget, and approves salaries, deductions, and other necessary budgetary actions;
• Coordinates budget issues for all organizational structures of the Agency;
• Monitors budget expenditures for all economic categories and comments, evaluates, and approves them from a financial perspective;
• Tracks and reports on budget execution;
• Ensures that financial expenditures are made in accordance with budget rules and procedures;
• Manages cash reserves and ensures that internal financial control is based on accountability and transparency principles;
• Ensures close cooperation with internal and external auditors in preparing budgetary and financial audit statements.
