The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held its regular meeting on 28 September 2026, during which a number of important matters related to quality assurance in higher education in the Republic of Kosovo were addressed.

During the meeting, the SCQ reviewed applications for institutional and study programme re/accreditation, as well as monitoring reports concerning higher education institutions. In accordance with its responsibilities, the Council also considered various requests submitted by higher education institutions and other matters related to external quality assurance processes.

An important part of the meeting focused on the further development of monitoring mechanisms and post-accreditation procedures.

As part of the meeting, the SCQ also held a hearing session with Universum College, in accordance with the relevant procedures of the Council.

A special moment of the meeting was the discussion and approval of official recognition of Mr. Naim Gashi’s contribution to the development and international recognition of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. This recognition expresses the Agency’s institutional appreciation for his contribution to the development of KAA and to advancing its role within the higher education quality assurance system.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the SCQ also discussed preparations for the KAA Annual Conference 2026, which will bring together representatives of higher education institutions, experts, and other stakeholders in the field of quality assurance.
