The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) in its 106th meeting, held on 25.10.2022, reviewed a variety of requests submitted by Higher Education Institutions and NGOs. All institutions will be communicated regarding the decision made during the meeting as per their requests. The SCQ has also taken the decision to cancel the CHAIR Conference. The SCQ and KAA will review the information and resources collected up to this point, in hopes that the conference can be organized with a large pool of participating agencies and entities. The European Commission, in the Report on Kosovo that was published on 12.10.2022 in Brussels, has said that the Kosovo Accreditation Agency has implemented the recommendations of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) related to institutional and financial independence. “Following the expulsion from the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has implemented the recommendations, related to institutional and financial independence, and an increase in the number of staff. The president of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), professor Hasnije Ilazi and the director of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Naim Gashi, have met representatives of the United States Embassy (USA) in Pristina, Mrs. Kelsey De Rinaldis, deputy public affairs officer and Ms. Remzije Potoku, specialist at the American Embassy for education policies. On the official website of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) the logo and credentials of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) have been placed. This has been made possible since the Board of ENQA has given the "affiliate" status to the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. With the recommendation of ENQA, all decisions and communications of KAA will also carry the "ENQA Affiliate" logo. The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (AKA), at its regular annual meeting, on Tuesday, 04.10.2022, discussed with the heads of higher education institutions (HEIs) about enhancing quality in the education system in Kosovo. The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held its regular meeting on 04.10.2022 where a number of items of the agenda were discussed. In this meeting, two reports of international experts were revised and decided upon, as well as a number of requestas and appeals of higher education institutions.
