The State Council of Quality Meeting Focuses on Accreditation and Quality Assessment
The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), on 23 March 2026, held its regular meeting, during which a range of issues of significance to quality assurance in higher education in Kosovo were discussed and reviewed.
One of the key points of discussion was an update on the evaluation process conducted by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States, where KAA has applied to be recognized as an accrediting authority.
During the meeting, the Council examined a considerable number of applications for the accreditation of study programmes, as well as the evaluation reports prepared by international experts for these programmes.
A significant part of the discussions was also devoted to the decisions of the Appeals Committee, as well as the review of appeals submitted by higher education institutions. The Council further addressed the response of the expert panel concerning the draft report for one of the institutions, along with other matters related to monitoring and official notifications.
