KAA Launches Institutional Accreditation Process for the Upcoming Academic Year

The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has launched the institutional accreditation process, in full alignment with the Standards for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and European best practices in quality assurance.

In this phase, three teams of international experts have been engaged to evaluate institutions based on 11 standardized areas, which include mission, governance, strategic planning, financial management, academic integrity, scientific research, academic staff, student services, and learning resources.

The selected experts are distinguished professionals with extensive experience in institutional evaluation and in implementing the standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Their involvement ensures an impartial, transparent, and evidence-based process, as required by KAA’s institutional accreditation standards.

The process includes the review of institutional strategic documents, on-site visits, meetings with academic, administrative, and student representatives, as well as verification of compliance with key standards such as institutional mission clarity, governance, financial planning, quality of teaching, research engagement, and student support.

Through this process, KAA aims to further strengthen the integrity of the higher education system in the Republic of Kosovo, enhance public accountability, and ensure that institutions meet European quality standards—continuously contributing to increasing the international credibility of Kosovo’s accreditation system.
