Compilation of the three-year Strategic Plan and the monitoring process are the priorities of the SCQ

During a meeting with the leaders of the University of Gjilan “Kadri Zeka”, the chairwoman of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), Professor Hasnije Ilazi, said that among the main priorities of this institution are the approval of the three-year Strategic Plan and the completion of regulations for the implementation of the monitoring process and subsequent procedures.

The head of the SCQ said that there is already a Strategic Plan draft in which all the capacities of the SCQ, KAA, local and international experts were engaged before they were presented in public discussion.

Professor Ilazi said that the methodology of the monitoring process and subsequent procedures has been prepared to ensure that higher education institutions are implementing quality standards and recommendations of international experts.

SCQ members, Professor Dukagjin Zeka, Professor Gëzim Tosuni and Professor Krenare Pireva Nuçi, presented to the hosts in Gjilan, the work that the SCQ is doing for the development of higher education institutions, promotion of scientific research, international cooperation, academic exchanges, and more to follow on.

The Rector of the University of Gjilan, Bajram Kosumi said that it is the obligation of the entire academic community, public universities and private colleges to contribute to the return of the KAA to the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

Rector Bajrami presented the main achievements of the University of Gjilan, especially in the involvement of this institution in international projects related to scientific research and exchanges of academic staff and students.

The delegation of the SCQ and KAA also met with the students of this University, who presented their ideas and vision for the development of the higher education system.

SCQ leaders have pledged that all suggestions and remarks of students will be taken into account when drafting accreditation policies, standards and criteria.
