Dear Sir/Madame, The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has recently adopted its supplemented Accreditation Manual (KAA Standards and Guidelines) and the Work Plan for the (re) accreditation of institutions of higher education and their study programs. A delegation of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) is participating at the International Conference of the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) in Orlando, Florida, the United States of America. ATMAE is a counterpart institution of the KAA that accredits all academic programs in the field of technology and engineering throughout the United States. The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) in the extraordinary meeting held on 28.10.2021, discussed the only item on the agenda, which was the approval of eight reports of international experts for accreditation of academic programs. The SCQ approved all the reports of international experts and thus the accreditation process for 2021 is completed. In today's meeting, the SCQ was joined by the international member, Mr. Klemen Miklavič, which has previously been ratified by the Assembly of Kosovo. With the appointment of Mr. Miklavič the decision-making in the accreditation process has been restored.

During a visit at the University of Peja "Haxhi Zeka", the president of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), Professor Hasnije Ilazi, said that increasing the quality of higher education is a common goal of higher education institutions, the academic community and students. The European Commission report on Kosovo in the part about the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) is accurate, very positive, encouraging for our work and provides hope for our return to the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). During a visit to the Biznesi College, members of the State Council of Quality (SCQ) and leaders of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) presented the project for the overall digitalization of accreditation processes.
