KAA and the U.S. Embassy Discuss Continued Cooperation
On August 28, 2025, the President of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), Professor Hasnije Ilazi, and the Director General of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Mr. Naim Gashi, welcomed a delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, composed of Ms. Rebecca Satterfield, Deputy Public Affairs Officer, and Ms. Remzije Potoku, Education Policy Specialist.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Lenda Hyseni, Head of the Division for Evaluation and Accreditation, and Ms. Fjollë Ajeti, KAA’s Coordinator for membership in the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States.
Professor Ilazi expressed her gratitude to the U.S. Embassy delegation for their continuous support of KAA in implementing international standards, while Director Gashi thanked them for financing projects that have contributed to strengthening KAA’s technical capacities.
Ms. Satterfield congratulated KAA on its registration in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), describing this achievement as a highly significant milestone for Kosovo’s higher education system.
The discussion also focused on the continuation of the U.S. Embassy’s support for KAA through projects aimed at advancing the internationalization of Kosovo’s higher education system.
