KAA Continues the Monitoring Process of Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo

On 26 February 2026, a team from the Monitoring Division of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) conducted monitoring visits to the Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health study programmes at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prishtina, as part of the ongoing assessment of the maintenance of quality criteria and the implementation of recommendations issued by international accreditation experts.

During the visit, the team closely assessed the infrastructure, laboratory capacities, academic staff, programme holders, as well as the teaching processes and students’ practical training exercises.

In addition, discussions were held on current challenges and opportunities for further improvement, with a view to enhancing the quality of education and the professional preparation of students.

According to KAA’s Regulation on Monitoring and Post-Accreditation Procedures, monitoring is the process through which KAA evaluates whether higher education institutions continue to meet accreditation conditions, comply with the recommendations of external evaluators, and adhere to the standards set out in the Accreditation Manual.

The Regulation stipulates that monitoring must be carried out at least once during the accreditation cycle, either through on-site visits or remote procedures. Following the visit, KAA prepares a monitoring report, which is reviewed and approved by the State Quality Council (SQC), and serves as part of the documentation for future accreditation processes.

The Monitoring Division expresses its gratitude to the academic staff, management, and students for their cooperation, transparency, and commitment demonstrated throughout the monitoring process.

This visit represents an important step toward advancing academic standards and strengthening quality across our study programmes.
