The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), on 22 June 2026, welcomed stakeholders to a meeting, bringing together representatives of the European University Alliance EUDRES, the Ministry of Education and Science, the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UShAF), as well as higher education institutions from Kosovo and the region.

The meeting focused on the role of universities of applied sciences in the European Higher Education Area, internationalization, quality assurance, cooperation with industry, and opportunities for involvement in European university alliances.

Participants discussed current developments in higher education and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Kosovo institutions and European partners.

During the meeting, the Director General of KAA, Naim Gashi, and the Director of the Department for Evaluation and Accreditation, Arianit Krasniqi, presented the quality assurance system in Kosovo and highlighted the Agency’s ongoing efforts to harmonize quality standards in higher education with European practices.

Representatives of the EUDRES Alliance presented experiences and good practices from European partner universities in the fields of teaching and learning, regional engagement, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation.

The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue among policymakers, higher education institutions, quality assurance professionals, and international partners, reaffirming the shared commitment to advancing the quality and international dimension of higher education in Kosovo.
