Prof. Avni Berisha, President of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), and Arianit Krasniqi, Director General of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), participated in the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), held from 21 to 23 October 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

The General Assembly brought together representatives of quality assurance agencies and other stakeholders from across Europe to discuss current developments, emerging challenges, and opportunities for cooperation in quality assurance in higher education.

During the event, KAA representatives participated in discussions and exchanged experiences and good practices with European counterparts on key issues shaping the future of quality assurance.

These discussions provided an opportunity to reflect on the evolving role of quality assurance agencies in responding to changes in higher education, promoting cooperation across borders, and ensuring that quality assurance frameworks remain relevant, transparent, and aligned with European developments.

On this occasion, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency congratulates Mr. Péter Levente Lakatos on his election as President of the ENQA Board, as well as Mr. Ronny Heintze and Ms. Varduhi Gyulazyan on their election as new members of the ENQA Board. KAA wishes the newly elected President and Board members every success in their mandates and looks forward to continued cooperation in advancing quality assurance in higher education across Europe.
