Kosovo Accreditation Agency Approves Integrity Plan
At the workshop held on May 28, 2025, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) approved its Integrity Plan, aimed at enhancing the Agency’s overall performance by strengthening institutional accountability, simplifying procedures, increasing transparency in decision-making, limiting discretionary powers, upholding ethical standards, and establishing an effective system for staff oversight.
The approved Plan addresses the identification and management of integrity risks within KAA’s core functions, outlining specific measures to prevent and mitigate such risks.
The document represents a structured approach to building and fostering a culture of integrity within the institution. Its adoption marks a significant step toward establishing a sustainable system for managing threats to institutional integrity.
The primary objective of the Integrity Plan is to improve policies, regulations, and practices that prevent the overstepping of mandates, while also reinforcing the institutional capacity to remain resilient against breaches of integrity standards.
The document presents a clear vision of how integrity is to be understood, developed, and implemented across KAA’s organizational structures, specifying effective mechanisms and instruments to achieve this goal.
In this context, KAA has taken significant steps to strengthen its regulatory and operational framework. The adoption of the Integrity Plan constitutes a strategic effort to lay the foundation for a robust and comprehensive system for institutional integrity management.
