SCQ Continues Reviewing the Reports of International Accreditation Experts

On June 16, 2025, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held its 138th regular meeting, during which it reviewed the reports of international experts engaged in the evaluation process of study programs at higher education institutions in Kosovo.

As part of this meeting, the SCQ examined and made decisions regarding the international experts’ reports for initial accreditation and reaccreditation of study programs. Additionally, the Council reviewed official complaints and requests submitted by higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosovo.

The process was conducted in accordance with the standards and guidelines set by the KAA, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and alignment with European quality assurance practices.

One of the key decisions taken during this meeting is that, starting from the next academic year, master’s programs worth 60 ECTS credits may only be offered by institutions that already provide bachelor programs worth 240 ECTS credits in the same academic field.

This decision aims to enhance academic coherence and ensure a solid foundation for the provision of postgraduate studies, in line with the principles of the Bologna Process.
