SCQ Holds a Working Visit at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety

The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) conducted a working visit to the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (AKSP), where it was received by the General Director of the institution, Mr. Shpend Shabani, together with AKSP senior management.

The President of the State Council of Quality, Professor Hasnije Ilazi, emphasized that AKSP has cooperated closely with the KAA in implementing quality assurance standards, which resulted in the institution receiving a five-year accreditation.

She also noted that the new KAA Strategy 2026–2030 foresees the strengthening of cooperation with higher education institutions, with the aim of enhancing quality, advancing academic processes, and promoting the internationalization of the higher education system in Kosovo.

For his part, the General Director of AKSP, Mr. Shpend Shabani, stressed that this visit comes at an important moment for AKSP, immediately following the restoration of its institutional accreditation, an important achievement which, in addition to motivating the institution, obliges it to move forward with even greater seriousness, responsibility, and dedication.

During the meeting, together with the AKSP leadership staff, an open and constructive discussion was held, focused on current developments within the institution, future challenges and priorities, as well as the direction AKSP is taking in support of quality enhancement and institutional consolidation.

Following the meeting, the State Council of Quality continued with its regular meeting on the premises of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.

The participants highly appreciated this direct approach by the State Council of Quality and the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, emphasizing that such visits strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and bring the quality assurance system even closer to the higher education institutions themselves.

It was emphasized that the path toward quality does not end with accreditation; rather, this is where the continuous commitment to development, improvement, and meeting the highest standards truly begins.
