State Council of Quality visits the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj
On April 14, 2025, a delegation from the State Council of Quality (SCQ), from the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), conducted an official visit to the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF).
This visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and to advance quality in higher education across Kosovo. The SCQ delegation, led by President Hasnije Ilazi, was welcomed by UASF Rector Agron Bajraktari, along with vice-rectors and senior university staff.
During the meeting, President Ilazi briefed the hosts on recent developments at the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, emphasizing the initiation of the Strategic Plan 2026–2030 and the review process of the standards for doctoral study programs. She underlined the importance of involving all stakeholders in the higher education system in these processes, aiming to establish an inclusive and sustainable approach to enhancing academic quality in the country.
In his remarks, Rector Bajraktari expressed gratitude to the SCQ representatives for their continued support and constructive cooperation with the KAA. He highlighted that this support has played a crucial role in the ongoing improvement of the quality of study programs at UASF, which has also contributed to increased trust from both students and the labor market in the institution.
Naim Gashi, Director General of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, praised UASF as a positive model of institutional cooperation, noting that the university has demonstrated strong commitment to meeting quality standards and advancing its academic offerings.
As part of the visit, the SCQ delegation had the opportunity to tour the university’s facilities and become familiar with the infrastructure and resources that UASF provides to its students and academic staff. The visit was assessed as an important step toward deepening institutional cooperation and raising quality standards in higher education in Kosovo.
