In accordance with the legally defined timeline, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has officially launched the application platform for institutional and program accreditation, as well as for the declaration of academic staff for the 2025/2026 academic year. The application process will remain open until July 31, 2025. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are required to ensure the declaration of academic staff for all accredited programs and to submit applications for accreditation, re-accreditation, and validation for the upcoming cycle. The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), at its meeting held on 30 June 2025, approved the revised Standards for Doctoral Programmes as well as the updated Regulation on Monitoring and Post-Accreditation Procedures. Pristina, 27 June 2025 – The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has organized a training session to mark the launch of its new online application component for accreditation processes by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Republic of Kosovo. The training was conducted by Mr. Kastriot Ilazi, the Agency’s Systems and Database Administrator, in collaboration with the KAA’s technical support staff. On 16 June 2025, a delegation from the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) conducted an official visit to “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren. On June 16, 2025, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held its 138th regular meeting, during which it reviewed the reports of international experts engaged in the evaluation process of study programs at higher education institutions in Kosovo. Representatives of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) participated in the workshop organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), held on 11–12 June 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia. A delegation from the Higher Education Quality Agency of North Macedonia was welcomed at the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), where both parties agreed to strengthen regional cooperation in the implementation of European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG) in higher education. On 29 May 2025, during a workshop organized by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), the design and structure of the institution’s new website were officially approved. The development of the new website will be carried out by the contracted company, based on the approved design, and is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) through the HEI 25 project.
