KAA and UP organized an information session regarding the standards and process for accreditation of academic programs
The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) and the Rectorate of the University of Pristina on 16.05.2023 organized an information session regarding the standards and process for accreditation of academic programs, with participation of quality coordinators and programme holders from all academic units of the University of Prishtina.
The president of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), professor Hasnije Ilazi, said that KAA has created a national cohesion related to quality in the higher education system, and this momentum has also received strong support from donors and international partners.
President Ilazi added that inclusiveness, partnership and feedback from all stakeholders of higher education has become the norm of the decision-making process in KAA.
She also stated that the achievements of KAA have resulted in gaining the status of ENQA affiliate member and this has improved the image of the education system and the state of Kosovo in general.
The director of KAA, Naim Gashi, said that the process of accreditation, monitoring and post-accreditation procedures are being conducted fully in line with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and this is having a positive effect in the continuous improvement of quality in the study programs.
The rector of the University of Prishtina, professor Qerim Qerimi emphasized the commitment of the UP in quality assurance, academic development and the provision of professional programs that meet the needs of the labor market.
The quality coordinators and program holders of the UP discussed with the leaders of KAA regarding the quality assurance issues.
The two parties agreed to continue these meetings periodically in order to exchange ideas for the advancement of our education system.
