On September 30, 2025, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) organized the third annual International Conference on Higher Education under the theme: “Internationalized Higher Education: Crossing Borders to Unite People.”

More than 160 participants from European countries, the region, the United States, and Kosovo took part in panel discussions addressing the advantages and challenges of higher education internationalization.

Key topics included the role of ENQA and EQAR in building bridges between higher education institutions through the implementation of European quality standards; transnational education; the impact of internationalization on quality assurance and national education systems; cross-border cooperation; and the contribution of the diaspora.

Distinguished speakers included Ms. Doris Herrmann, Vice-President of the ENQA Board, Mr. Peter Levente Lakatos, Member of the ENQA Board, and Mr. Aleksandar Šušnjar, Director of EQAR.

At the opening of the conference, KAA also awarded Quality Certificates to institutions that demonstrated excellence in internationalization and institutional profiling. The recipients were the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina, the Faculty of Philology of the University of Prishtina, the University of Peja, the University of Prizren, and Tepulli College.
