KAA Participates in the ENQA General Assembly in Budapest, Hungary
The President of the State Quality Council (SQC), Professor Hasnije Ilazi, and the Director General of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Naim Gashi, during their participation in the Members’ Forum of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), held on 22–24 April 2026 in Budapest, met with counterparts and delegations from across Europe.
The Forum was hosted by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB).
At the outset, the KAA delegation met with the hosts of the event, namely the President of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB), Prof. Dr. János Ede Szilágyi, as well as the Director General of MAB, Dr. Péter Levente Lakatos.
KAA and MAB have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of quality assurance in higher education, which constitutes an important foundation for strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and the exchange of professional expertise.
Within the framework of the Forum, the delegation from Kosovo participated in plenary and thematic sessions devoted to strengthening trust in higher education, developments related to the revision of the ESG, as well as European policies affecting quality assurance in higher education. The agenda also included the meeting of the ENQA General Assembly.
During their stay in Budapest, the KAA delegation met with the President of ENQA, Cristina Ghițulică, the Director of EQAR, Aleksandar Susnjar, the Vice-President of ENQA, Patrick Van den Bosch of Belgium, Board Member of ENQA, Doris Herrmann of Germany, as well as representatives of peer quality assurance agencies from across Europe.
