KAA staff organized a ceremony of appreciation for the President of the SCQ, Hasnije Ilazi
The staff of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) organized a ceremony of appreciation for Professor Hasnije Ilazi, on the occasion of the completion of her five-year mandate as President of the State Council of Quality (SCQ). As a sign of gratitude for her outstanding contribution to leading and advancing the quality assurance system in higher education, the SCQ and KAA have elected Prof. Ilazi as Honorary President.
During Prof. Ilazi’s mandate as President of the SCQ, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency marked important achievements in strengthening the quality assurance system in higher education. These results culminated in KAA’s registration in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), as well as its recognition by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States of America.
In her remarks, President Ilazi thanked the KAA staff for their professional work, correct cooperation, and commitment shown throughout these years, emphasizing that the achievements are the result of joint work and institutional dedication to advancing quality in higher education.
Prof. Ilazi stated that KAA is now an agency with European and American credentials, thanks to joint work, the fulfillment of strategic objectives, and the continuous commitment to implementing international quality assurance standards.
The Director General of KAA, Naim Gashi, said that the Agency has created a tradition of honoring personalities who have made an important contribution to the institutional development of KAA and to raising quality in higher education in the Republic of Kosovo.
He emphasized that Prof. Hasnije Ilazi is an example of professionalism, dedication, and leadership in leading a public institution, not only in the Republic of Kosovo, but also beyond.
On behalf of the KAA staff, Director Gashi thanked Prof. Ilazi for her many years of contribution and for her important role in advancing the Agency towards the highest European and international standards of quality assurance.
As of 18 June 2026, Prof. Avni Berisha has been elected President of the State Council of Quality.
