The Kosovo Accreditation Agency welcomes the decision of the of the Minister Nagavci to uphold academic integrity in research
The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (AKA) has welcomed today’s decision of the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci, for “the compatibility of scientific works and publications with the research ethics of the academic staff of higher education institutions (HEIs)”.
With the legislation in force and internal regulations, the KAA applies the “Research” and the “Academic Integrity” standards during the accreditation process. Today’s decision clarifies the legal basis for their implementation.
KAA was invited by MASHTI and contributed especially in adapting the decision to the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), which are the basis of quality assurance and operation of accreditation agencies in Europe.
