The SCQ reviewed the Regulation on Validation and the SCQ Regulation

During a workshop held in Tirana on January 16, 2025, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), together with KAA staff, examined the Regulation on Procedures and Criteria for External Evaluation by International Accreditation Agencies, also known as the Regulation on Validation, as well as the new SCQ Regulation.

Based on the KAA Law, the Regulation on Validation establishes procedures and criteria for the recognition of international accreditations of higher education institutions and study programs.

This regulation includes criteria for recognizing study programs introduced in Kosovo by international partner universities that are accredited in their countries of origin.
According to the regulation, applications for the recognition of international accreditations are reviewed and decided upon by the SCQ.

The workshop was attended by both local and international members of the SCQ, including the student member and the industry representative on the Council. Participants also included staff from the KAA’s Accreditation Department and the Monitoring and Post-Accreditation Procedures Department.

These two regulations will be open for public discussion for two weeks and will be published on the KAA website.

The workshop was supported by the HEI 25 Project, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
