The State Council of Quality Held a Visit to RIT Kosova
The State Council of Quality (SCQ) and representatives of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held a visit to the higher education institution RIT Kosova, where they met with the management of the institution to discuss cooperation and joint efforts in enhancing the quality of higher education.
The President of the SCQ, Professor Hasnije Ilazi, stated that visits to higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosova have now become a tradition, with the aim of informing them about the main developments within the Agency, as well as receiving recommendations that contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes.
During the meeting, President Ilazi informed the representatives of RIT Kosova about the latest developments in the internationalization process of the higher education system, including the international memberships of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.
The KAA delegation consisted of the Director General, Naim Gashi; SCQ members, Professor Avni Berisha and Professor Mirlinda Batalli; as well as the Director of Accreditation, Arianit Krasniqi.
The delegation was received by representatives of the management of RIT Kosova: Edmond Muhaxheri, Assistant Professor and Chief Financial Officer; Lavon Bajrami, Chief Administration Officer; Leandrit Mehmeti, Assistant Dean; and Xhavit Gashi, Chief Development Officer.
The representatives of RIT Kosova appreciated the transparency and cooperation that the Kosovo Accreditation Agency provides to higher education institutions, emphasizing their inclusion in public hearings, consultations, and processes for providing recommendations on regulatory and strategic documents.
They also congratulated the Kosovo Accreditation Agency on its membership in CHEA, as well as its registration in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). According to them, CHEA membership is particularly important for RIT Kosova, given that the institution is linked to the American higher education system.
The Kosovo Accreditation Agency remains committed to continuing cooperation with higher education institutions, with the aim of strengthening the culture of quality, transparency, and the development of higher education in Kosova.
