KAA Delegation Received by the Ambassador of Kosova in Brussels
On the eve of the official visit to Brussels, the President of the State Quality Council (SQC), Professor Hasnije Ilazi, and the Director General of the Kosova Accreditation Agency (KAA), Naim Gashi, were received by the Ambassador of Kosova in Brussels, Agron Bajrami. During the meeting, they discussed KAA’s progress in international recognition processes, as well as the importance of internationalizing Kosova’s higher education system.
The President of the SQC informed Ambassador Bajrami that Kosova has become the only country in the Western Balkans whose national agency is registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). She also emphasized that KAA has been recognized as an accrediting authority by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States of America, becoming the first agency in Europe to enjoy this status from CHEA.
President Ilazi stated that these international achievements are the result of deep reforms, institutional commitment, and KAA’s continuous work to harmonize the quality assurance system with European and international standards.
The Director General of KAA, Naim Gashi, thanked Ambassador Bajrami for his continuous support to KAA in the process of internationalizing the higher education system. He emphasized that diplomatic support is important for further strengthening KAA’s presence in international quality assurance mechanisms.
Ambassador Bajrami assessed that KAA’s achievements represent a very positive image for Kosova also from a diplomatic perspective, stressing that international recognitions and memberships are evidence of the commitment of Kosova’s institutions to building a quality and trustworthy education system.
He also expressed the readiness of the Embassy of Kosova in Brussels to continue supporting KAA in communication and cooperation with European institutions, with the aim of further advancing Kosova’s position in the European Higher Education Area.
The meeting was assessed as an important step in strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and promoting Kosova’s achievements in the field of education.
