Kosovo and Croatia intensify cooperation towards quality enhancement in higher education

A delegation of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) was received in Zagreb by the heads of the Croatian Agency for Science in Higher Education (AZVO), where they discussed the intensification of cooperation to improve quality in higher education.

The Kosovo delegation consisted of the President of the State Council of Quality (SCQ), professor Hasnije Ilazi, SCQ members, professors Maja Martinovic and Dukagjin Zeka, as well as the director of KAA, Naim Gashi.

The host of this meeting was the director of AZVO, Sandra Bezjak and her colleagues.

In this meeting, the parties have appreciated the very important support of AZVO for KAA through the TAIEX project of the European Union, while they agreed that the Croatian counterpart will support the Accreditation Agency in the process of revising the standards for bachelor and master level.

President of the SCQ, professor Ilazi thanked the Croatian counterpart for supporting KAA in enhancing quality standards. She said that Croatian experts engaged in the accreditation process in Kosovo are giving significant contribution for the higher education system.

The director of AZVO, Sandra Bezjak, said that KAA has made great progress in meeting the recommendations for returning to the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Register for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (EQAR). She said that AZVO supports KAA in returning to these two international mechanisms.
