KAA Published the Thematic Analysis for Program Accreditation
The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), in collaboration with American professor Christine Austin, has developed the document: Thematic Analysis of Processes Involved in Accrediting/Reaccrediting Study Programs: A Three-Year Review of Accreditation Processes for a Study Program (at both bachelor’s and master’s levels) at three public and three private institutions in the Republic of Kosovo.
At the core of this analysis is the reflection of the interaction between accreditation standards governing the program evaluation process.
As part of this activity, an analysis of self-assessment reports of higher education institutions and final reports of international experts engaged by KAA was conducted. This analysis included 6 institutions (3 public/3 private) over a 3-year timeframe with the aim of identifying common points and differences during the evaluation processes as well as identifying areas for improvement, challenges, and trends within the evaluation processes themselves.
This initiative was developed within the framework of the Fulbright Specialist Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and funded by the U.S. Government, and implemented by World Learning.
During this process, AKA has built mechanisms and enhanced internal capacities for developing thematic analyses and reports for similar needs of AKA in the future.
