Kosovo Accreditation Agency Approves Privacy Policies
Prishtina, October 20, 2025 – The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has approved its Privacy Policies, an institutional document that defines the procedures for collecting, processing, and protecting personal data in accordance with Law No. 06/L-082 on Personal Data Protection and the European Union’s data protection legislation.
The document was adopted during a two-day workshop held on October 16–17, 2025.
The approved policies ensure transparency, security, and the protection of personal data for all parties cooperating with the Agency, including higher education institutions, experts, contractual partners, and the general public.
The document clearly outlines the procedures for collecting, using, storing, and sharing personal data, as well as the rights of individuals to access, update, and appeal in cases of privacy violations.
According to the document, the Director General of KAA will appoint a Data Protection Officer, responsible for overseeing the implementation of these policies and maintaining cooperation with the Information and Privacy Agency (AIP).
The adoption of the Privacy Policies marks a significant step toward the institutional modernization and full digitalization of KAA’s services, strengthening the Agency’s credibility and alignment with international quality assurance standards.
The document will be published on the KAA’s official website following the approval of the Information and Privacy Agency.
During the same workshop, participants also discussed the final version of the new KAA website, developed with the support of the HEI25 project funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The new website is expected to enhance transparency, accessibility of information for the academic community, students, and the public, as well as improve communication efficiency between the KAA and higher education institutions.
