State Council of Quality (SCQ) reviewed applications for accreditation and study program holders

The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) in its 94th meeting, held on 21.12.2021, with the physical presence of all members, has reviewed and made decisions on all submitted applications for accreditation at the institutional and study program levels.

In accordance with the legal provisions in force, the review of study program holders has been completed.

All higher education institutions (HEIs) will be notified individually about SCQC decisions. According to the Administrative Instruction on Accreditation, HEIs have one month to submit the self-evaluation reports to the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, to pave the way for the evaluation of programs and institutions by teams of international experts.

The KAA Strategic Plan 2021-2025 was also approved at the SCQ meeting. This Plan has been drafted in accordance with the mission of the KAA which has served as a guide for setting strategic objectives which enable the continuous assessment of the effectiveness of the actions of the KAA.

The KAA Strategic Plan has been drafted based on the principles applied in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), especially the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG 2015) as well as the recommendations of external evaluators. to ENQA.

The SCQ meeting was monitored by the Embassy of the United States in Pristina and two civil society organizations in Kosovo, ORCA and BIRN.
