KAA benefits from the Croatian experience in the field of quality assurance in higher education
With the support from the European Commission project TAIEX, the director of the Croatian Accreditation Agency, Sandra Bezjak, for three days engaged in the workshop organized by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), where discussions took place about the quality assurance in higher education and benefitting from the Croatian experience towards the returning of the KAA into the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and registering in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
Part of this workshop were the entire State Council of Quality (SCQ) and KAA staff, where the achievements of the KAA were discussed in detail and as well as the priorities for the future.
The President of the SCQ, Professor Hasnije Ilazi said that the Croatian experiences in quality assurance in higher education, the internationalization of the education process and the KAA capacity building is a common priority.
President Ilazi thanked Director Bezjak for supporting the KAA in the process of advancing our accreditation standards and improving processes in line with European quality standards (ESGs). Professor Ilazi said that dozens of eminent Croatian experts are involved in the accreditation process in Kosovo, contributing to raising the quality of higher education.
Croatian Director Sandra Bezjak said that it is her pleasure to be in Kosovo to see the progress achieved by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency in quality assurance in higher education. She said that during the past three days she had discussions with her Kosovar colleagues, in an open dialogue to contribute to raising the quality culture in higher education.
The Croatian director of the Accreditation Agency is also a senior evaluator of ENQA.
