SCQ partner with HEIs to increase quality in higher education
Leaders of the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), on 20.12.2021, during a meeting held with the management of the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UShAF), said that they are partners with institutions of higher education (HEI) for quality enhancement.
The Head of the SCQ, Professor Hasnije Ilazi, accompanied by members of this institution: Professor Dukagjin Zeka, Professor Gëzim Tosuni, Professor Seb Bytyqi and the director of KAA, Naim Gashi, were received in a meeting by the Rector of UShAF, Agron Bajraktari, Deputy Rector Bujar Pira and senior management of this institution.
Head of the SCQ, Ilazi said that they have visited all accredited HEIs in order to include them in the process of advancing accreditation policies and standards, which promote quality improvement.
She added that new accreditation standards are being developed, a feasibility plan has been created for the digitalization of all processes in the agency and in the final stage before approval are the Strategic Plan 2021-2025 and the Monitoring Methodology and Post-Accreditation procedures.
Rector Bajraktari welcomed the recent decisions of the SCQ on the criteria of scientific publications of the academic staff, and even requested that they be raised even higher, in order to guarantee the quality of study programs.
The Rector of UShAF said that this institution is an example of practical work of students and linking study programs with industry.
The SCQ delegation visited the laboratories and the entire UShAF campus.
