On August 2, 2024, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) confirmed the successful completion of the application process for the accreditation/reaccreditation of higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosova, as well as the declaration of academic staff on the E Accreditation Platform, by the legal deadline of July 31, 2024. Kastriot Ilazi, the information technology systems administrator at the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), confirmed on July 25, 2024, that since the opening of the E Accreditation platform on July 1, 2024, more than 2400 academic staff members from all higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosovo have successfully declared their data’s. During its 126th meeting held on July 22, 2024, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) reviewed and decided on the reports of international assessment experts. In the same meeting, decisions were also made regarding the requests and complaints of higher education institutions. The members of the SCQ discussed the implementation of post-accreditation procedures in higher education institutions that had been previously decided upon.

KAA Director General Naim Gashi thanked U.S. Embassy officials Ms. Jennifer Lawson and Ms. Remzije Potoku for their institutional and financial support at a recent meeting.
