At its 141st regular meeting held on August 21, 2025, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) started the process of reviewing applications for institutional and program accreditation for the year 2026. In total, six applications for institutional accreditation and applications for program accreditation of nine higher education institutions were addressed. During the meeting, decisions were made regarding requests and appeals from higher education institutions. At the same time, the monitoring report of HEIs’ websites was also presented. On 31 July 2025, the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) successfully concluded the academic staff declaration process via the electronic platform E-Akreditimi, in full compliance with the obligations arising from the Law on KAA. Between 1 and 31 July 2025, a total of 2,983 academic staff members from all higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosovo successfully completed their declarations through the platform. This process was technically supported by the State Agency for Information (ASHI), which manages and maintains the digital infrastructure and servers of the “E-Akreditimi” platform. On 24 July 2025, the State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held its 140th regular meeting, during which it discussed several items on the agenda. The Council reviewed and reconsidered several expert reports regarding the accreditation of study programs in various academic fields. The agenda also included the handling of several institutional and programmatic requests, as well as the review of updated documentation for specific programs. Pristina, 14 July 2025 – The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has been successfully registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), following a positive evaluation by an independent panel of experts from the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). In an official letter sent on Monday, the President of EQAR, Mr. Stéphane Lauwick, wrote to KAA’s Director General: “Dear Mr. Naim Gashi, The Register Committee has considered your application of 2024-02-02 for (renewal of) inclusion on the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR).
