The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) held on 13.06.2022 a public hearing regarding the draft document on the "Kosovo Subject Area Code". A delegation of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), for two days has participated in an event organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), in Cologne, Germany, where the process of external evaluation for membership in ENQA was discussed. The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASCAL) in Northern Macedonia have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Skopje, which envisages the interstate cooperation in raising the quality of higher education. In the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), students are recognized as key actors who should be involved in the shaping of their education and learning experience. The Prague Declaration signed by all EHEA education ministers stipulates that students should be considered equal members of the higher education academic community. The State Council of Quality (SCQ) of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), concluded on 23.05.2022 its 99th meeting, which started on 13.05.2022, in which reviews and decisions were made on the reports of international experts of accreditation at the institutional level and some academic programs. With the participation of all members, the SCQ has reviewed all requests and complaints of higher education institutions. KAA, within the project “Increasing student participation in internal and external quality assurance processes in Kosovo” funded by the U.S Embassy in Kosovo has prepared A guideline for Student engagement which aims to provide guidance on how students can contribute to quality provision and learning environments in higher education. The guidelines should also be used as a reference point when determining higher education legislation, accreditation provisions and institutional level regulations. With the support from the European Commission project TAIEX, the director of the Croatian Accreditation Agency, Sandra Bezjak, for three days engaged in the workshop organized by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), where discussions took place about the quality assurance in higher education and benefitting from the  Croatian experience towards the returning of the KAA into the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and registering in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
